... for the SWC team of Tiger Racing was a wash. I couldn't be there due to my day job, but watched and called to lend support.

Infineon started 17th and finished 23rd due to attrition on the 4th lap that wasn't our drivers fault.
Portland qualified 13th and got taken out on the first lap. Seems that there was a lot of rough driving that followed throughout that entire race, too. 3 cautions for 11 laps, 4 cars taken out of contention. (1Caddy, 1Porsche & 2 Vettes) Sounded like a short track race at Bristol. The race will be shown on Speed next Sunday, Aug 1, at 1:pm (EDT).

Crew chief and builder, Chris Trapp, and powertrain builder, Tim Coll, feels a little vindicated in that the car didn't finish due to mechanical prep that the team does.

The crew and equipment are headed back home and will be prepared for Mosport, where they will have a double race week-end Aug 7th & 8th.

Hopefully the last event of the season, Laguna Seca, will be better received after some better finishes in the next three events, Mosport, Road America & Road Atlanta.

And how was your week-end?

I had a great time at the races here in Portland.

I was really bummed to see your teams car taken out, i was cheering for them and Lou the whole time. Lou really put on a driving clinic, until mechanical issues took him out. After being flagged for jumping the start, he worked himself up to 5th, and caught the lead pack.

All the races this weekend seemed full of very agressive driving (the WC GT cars moreso than anyone else.) In the AMLS race, the #38 Audi was black-flaged 3 times for contact with the Dyson cars, the #4 Corvette was also black flaged at least once for contact with the Audi.

It was pretty on-par for a race weekend at portland, there is no gracefull way to get 20+ cars into turns #1 and 2 at portland. I can't remeber a race that I have ever been to, that didn't have at least once incodent in the festival turns.
