Interesting, this is actually kinda cool, even if it is a mustang. I wonder how much..

Even as the new production car hits showrooms, Ford is getting ready to launch a race version, and is studying running it in Grand-Am as a factory effort. Internally known as Boy Racer, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter crate engine producing 420 hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. The race team I'm involved with is working on a deal with Ford to procure one of those cars for a Grand Am effort either next year or in 2006. If things go well, I may be handling the crew duties on that car. I was told it was a "no-go", then I got a call about 2 weeks ago saying that he just hung up with a VP (or some such title) at Ford and it may be back on. He's got investors and some capitol.... I'll post more as I find out.
It has to be more fun that the 1971 Mustang we run now. How much? I believe I was told it was headed for 100k-ish. Not final yet though. |

watched the show with great interest. I loved the suspension testing they showed that they were able to do just in the shop. It really showed dividends once they got to the track.
