I have a friend who I've met and run with on several occasions.
He's a great driver and a very likeable fellow.

He drives a Cobra R ...

Would he be welcome here?

Sure,

The way I see it is this site is welcome to anyone, but the focus will always be the F-body. If a Ford guy wants to come hang out I'm sure there is a lot of general non-specific tech and discussion which he could find helpful.

Of course he's welcome, as far as I'm concerned. Tunnel vision doesn't help anybody.

I've always chosen to view the Rus, er, Mustang / Camaro / Firebird rivalry as good-natured fun between people who fundamentally enjoy the same things.

Besides, I think Jon has probably learned a few things by hanging out with "the other side".

I don't have any problem with it. Is this the guy from Houston who used to hang out on ls1.com?

Hey I'm an Old Mustang Guy ('66 coupe, 351W auto, long story, or, maybe I'm just a CP'er at heart)

Joined an indoor karting league with a fellow F Stocker, drives a Bullitt.

Was it Smokey Yunick who said the engine doesn't know what's stamped on the valve cover?

Welcome...

My wife's car is a '91 5.0 LX. Easy to work on, parts are cheap, and it's well laid out, just down a little on power. We were driving to my 30th high school reunion,(we're in our upper 40's), and I've got the Camaro bouncing off the rev limiter in first and second, and she say's, "Know what? I think my Mustang is just as fast". Just have to love that optimistic little woman! Personally, I think a good used 5.0 may be the performance bargain of the decade. But I've been a Chevy fan all my life since my Dad was the parts manager at a local dealership.
