I was watching the Valvoline runoffs from Mid-Ohio the other day, and saw a 2001 Z28 running with neon srt-4's, rs-x's, and miatas. When I compared the trap speeds of the SSB class Camaro to the T2 class Camaoro,

the top trap speeds were:

117mph vs. 131mph

and the lap times were:

1:48 vs. 1:40

Curious to what type of restrictions were put on the car.

I was wondering about that too. I really am not good at identifying 4th gens and thought the Camaro was most likely a V6 and did not think about it any further.

I thought T2's were relatively stock too, very minimal mods, and tires.

I'm curious to what kind of HP restrictions may be present in SSB. I understand the suspension, but in T2, the suspension is VERY limited if I recall correctly. Could the little suspension mods allowed in T2 account for 8 seconds or 14mph in trap speed? I understand they are also different drivers.

Where can I find the rules?

SSB is the V6 car driven by Guy P.

The car is very heavy and undersprung. Has great brakes, tires, and power just weighs in at 3450+lbs with driver.

In T2 we are allowed any shock valving, pcm tuning, balaced and blueprinted block, any limited slip diff. SSB is allowed none of this.

p.s. SRT4s are T2 only

Thanks! Looking at that car I was certain it was no LS1 or LT1.
