Now that the board seems to be maturing in terms of # of members, post volume, etc. I'd like to explore assigning moderators to specific forums, where X forum is your responsibility both from a technical/content perspective and an administrative/housekeeping perspective. We have 7 mods and 12 forums, so we will need to double you up on forums. If we can sign up a couple more mods it would help as well (PM me if interested in moderating...its free and thankless, but somebody's gotta do it!)

But anyway, please let me know what forum(s) you would like to be assigned to so we can start sorting this out.

You can definitely put me in for Road Racing, considering I've got probably 30+ track events in various cars (2 fourth gens, 2 Vette, and a Porsche). As for a second forum, maybe braking or suspension. I wouldn't say I'm an expert in either, but I know a good bit about both and also know when to recommend someone talk to a true expert like Sam or one of our other members.

Chris, put me wherever you need me.

I'm leaning towards Autocross, and Engine. I'm not an expert in either of these, but I think a mod needs to be a peacekeeper more than a technical expert...

We probably don't need a mod in Sig Test (or maybe we do!), so that brings the total down to 11.

I know we are seeing a lot of volume over here now. I haven't been able to read/follow all the posts, I just read the ones that sound the most interesting to me. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I hope if anybody sees something getting out of hand, they'll email or PM one of the mods if we don't spot a situation right away...

Chris,
I don't have enough on-track experience to handle any of those, but I know the powertrain side pretty well. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Also, I can handle the towing section.

I'm willing to help out anywhere, but would be better off in Autocross or one of the general forums.

Yeah, but then it says Group: Moderator.

I guess I'll have to go in and manually change your status line to Moderator for every one of you.

I'd prefer suspension, then autocross (in that order, but I'm flexible). Or Suspension and a general or classifieds, etc.

Suspension is my "home" and I autocross. And I can pick up something else if needed (like classifieds, general, tools, etc)

I think I could bring an entirely new level of organization and professionalism to the "Sig Test and Junk Forum." I have many years of experience with both low and high level Sig Tests, as well as all forms of Junk.

I'm open to autox, suspension, and misc. forums that no one wants. I haven't open tracked so I don't want to be in the RR forum.

I think I might only be qualified to back up Cricket in the Junk Forum. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

If you need some help, I can work in the Autox forum. I'm not much for car setup... I just ask other people what I should do. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

If you need more moderators to help out, I'd sign up. My preference would be the engine forum. Just let me know.

Of the existing 11 moderators, here's the assignments I can discern so far. Speak up guys if you have suggestions... I'd like to have 2 mods per forum, and 2-3 forums per mod

General -- Absolut Speed, ?
Classifieds -- Trackbird, ?
Events -- whoever mods this would need to manage the calendar
Braking -- LT4Firehawk, CMC#5
Suspension -- Trackbird, RobZ71lm7
Engine -- John_D., Nemesis
Tools -- RobZ71lm7, John_D.
Autocross -- Absolut Speed, bruecksteve
Road race -- LT4Firehawk, CMC#5
Towing -- Nemesis, ? (might only need one here)

Tools sounds fine for me. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I can take suspension tech if nobody else wants it. I'm no expert though.

OK, how's that?
Rob I pulled you from classifieds and gave you Tools and Suspension. I figured I'd try to balance everybody, one boring forum with one good forum (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'll can handle suspension, and classifieds is fine. Not sure if you need rob and I in suspension, but it probably can't hurt. Either way.
