For those interested in the new C6 ZO6, here: http://www.corvette-mag.com/art1/art1p2.html is the first article on it. And here is a link to the SAE conference where the respective GM engineers will discuss the new Z06’s ALUMINUM hydroformed frame rails, carbon fiber body panels, etc: http://www.sae.org/servlets/techSession?SC...ON_SUCCESS=TRUE The papers can be ordered separately.

Well, in the 20 minutes since I posted this, Corvette Magazine had to remove the article. If anyone did not get to see it already, I copied the 2 significant pages and pictures into a Word document. If someone wants to host it, I will email it to you. There is a picture of the dry sump reservoir and the chassis with the - magnesium - roof panel in place. There are also pictures of the rear end and complete roofline of the car.

Here is a link to the magazine cover. It now says that the online article has been "Postponed". It has a good pic of the Z06 anyway:http: http://www.corvette-mag.com/index.html

Looks like they have pulled the article. It says postponed. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I read the article and saw the pics on the corvette forum but they are down now. I will host your pics if you like. slobird@adelphia.net

That is going to be one hell of a car but a bit pricey people are talking about 75k out the door.

I believe anything official on this car is on embargo until January (Detroit Auto Show). That's likely why it was pulled.
