I was asked for a shipping quote on the ls1 setup im selling, well with a complete setup with no hub's (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) and 2 set's of rotor's it weighed 125lbs (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) With the box size it came out to $107 on UPS website. Now if I drop the (can't be turned again) rotor's and PFC pad's(garbage) I can get that under 100lbs, but it's still $88 for shipping (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)

Any idea's?

www.fedex.com

Set up an account online and ship it fedex ground (you can make shipping labels on your inkjet/laser printer and tape them to the boxes). I bought a 13" rotor/Baer Alcon front brake kit with spindles shipped from California for about $80 for the pair of boxes (as I remember).

I ship everything FedEx ground, it's usually a good bit cheaper than UPS.

split it into packages that weigh less than 50lbs. they have a surcharge for anything "heavy" and requiring 2 people lift per OSHA... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
