The schedule according to the Speed TV website has the race in 20 days. Or do you go down that early to prepare?

Speed WC schedule

I can't wait for Speed WC to start up. I enjoy watching it more than F1.

Edit - I figured it out - the link above is for when Speed Channel is going to get around to showing the race. The schedule is this:

http://www.speedvisionwc.com/2004/schedules.html

Damn Speed Channel! I want it live.

Good luck....I think it will be an INTERESTING season to say the least....let's hope a poor OUTDATED car like the Vette can keep up with the "prototype" Cadillacs, Vipers, and others.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I HOPE the boys at SCCA can modulate it so it remains close....one thing I HATE (no, I won't say NASCAR this time (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) its F-1 type races where Shumacher is 14 minutes ahead of 2nd place! JKnight - yes, you're looking at the Speed TV listing for when they'll broadcast the race. It's always delayed. The race week is all next week, ending with live TV coverage of the ALMS race on Saturday, the 20th.

The transporter arrives Monday and gets setup. Tuesday is registration and tech. Weds is tire marking and two practice sessions, Thursday is qualifying. Then it's race on Friday.

In between there is SVRA (vintage racing), Panoz GT, ALMS, Star Mazda. Formula Dodge practicing & qualifying, mandatory driver's meetings with photographs & autograph sessions, mandatory crew chief meetings and a few other 'activities' that escape me right now.

rmackintosh - 'definitely' interesting to say the least. The Caddies will be watched with great interest.

I think Randy is sort of saying that Nascar is fun because it is competitive and F1 sucks because it isn't. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

.....yeah....NASCAR DOES have THAT going for it......kinda hard to get a 14 minute lead when EVERYONE but the TOTALLY CLUELESS have the foot on the floor the whole 3 hours! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

beuke23 - last year at LRP was rain racin' for both races and it wasn't fun. This year we're hoping for good weather. Hope to see you there.

rmackintosh - we've been watching the other competitors, mostly with dialoge between Lou G's shop and the folks at 3R racing (Phil McClure) and we all realize it is going to be tough. This season we've hired on a guy just for data aquisition, something we didn't have last year. And the new '04 car (and it's driver) has a ton of improvements. The car was completely built (from a body in white) over this past winter, tested this past Monday (the 8th at Summit Pt) and is stickered and ready to load and head down the Sebring.

It is going to be one heck of a season. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Teutonic Speedracer - you'd think that with a series name that starts with 'Speed', that they'd broadcast it live. They do the ALMS race, which we (support) accompany. They did move up the broadcast date to the Sunday following the race, the 21st, instead of the week after, the 28th.

Hope to see many of you at LRP when we come up in May.
