Man, I'm telling you, there are few corvette guys that post knowing about hard track/racing data.
That is one BIG reason I bought my first f-body. Most of the vette guys are posers (C4 experience here). The only good board is corvetteforum.com for all years and Z06vette.com for C5+. Maybe there are some new ones. This is of course my impression from a few years back before the C5's started to become heavily modified and tracked.
I still read the C4 stuff and wish there was even 20% the knowledge of the guys in f-bodies.... there are more y-body drag racers than f-body righty/lefty guys!
Who the heck would drag race a vette?????

yeah. I read a post on z06vette... guy put up a pic of his vette at the line at the dragstrip. (5% of the comments were about his nice wax job. 1 post asked how he did at the track. And this was posted in the RACING section. Unbelievable.

I totally agree it makes no sense why most of those guys only care about the drag strip. Of course, the majority of LS1.com was the same way. Racing's racing, but drag racing just doesn't seem that fun. Only reason I want to go is to practice with the tree and practice my 60' for the Pro Solos.

corvetteforum has a good autox/roadrace area that has a lot of VERY knowledgeable Vette owners. There technical areas for each model (C4, C5, etc) also have very good posts and a lot of knowledgeable people.

I agree with Evan. I used to read corvetteforums quite often. David Farmer and LG were regular posters in the rr/ax section of that forum.
