Posting for a friend currently sitting in the Persian Gulf on a Navy Cruiser..

Selling a new NEVER RUN 396c.i. 4 Bolt LT4 Shortblock.

This thing is NICE.. Never been run, its a project that never came to fruition. He was building this for a kit car he was going to build, but lost interest when he bought his 67 RS and began modding the suspension and building another motor for it.

The motor was machined and assembled professionally by a local machine shop down here in socal (Vellios) known for high performance work, then sprayed down with oil and wrapped in plastic and stored securly in his garage. The motor was being built for forced induction (A LOT OF IT) and is quite stout using ARP bolts and studs everywhere. Specs are as follows:

The block is sitting at 10 deck and is o-ringed, line honed, and bored using a torque plate.
4340 Forged and Nitrided SCAT stroker crank
Eagle H Beam rods (6")
Custom Ross pistons (20cc dish)
Cam is an off the shelf comp roller spec'ing somewhere around 230/230@.050 on a 112. Not the best cam for F.I. but a good break in cam.

My friend has somewhere around $5500 invested in this project and is willing to sell it for $4500 obo (within reason) He needs the money for a new fuel injection setup on the 67 and a couple more suspension mods.

If you have any questions about it, you can contact me at 310-200-5039 or by e-mailing me at mleaf@speakeasy.net.

This is a great deal.. Don't hesitate to contact me with questions.
