The head of Corvette marketing brought a C6 Z06 to the Toledo National Tour on Sunday to show it off to some of us speed freaks. She wasn't allowed to run it on course but she allowed many of us to set in it and snoop all over it.

To put it simply, I looks to decimate all. :drive:

The cost of a Corvette nowadays is getting up there. My neighbor got a C6 convertible and paid $60K for it. Jeez.

The C6 Z06 is a nice package though. If they sell it for the mid 70's as I've heard, it would be a "bargain" for what you're getting. It's just too bad GM doesn't have that niche filled that the F body used to be in.

Really?

I think I need to have a garage sale, a really big one, cars and all. That should get me a down payment on the beast. Damn.

Hmmmmmm, I am not holding my breath for a second. Lets see, 65,000 msrp + 10-15K fucking nazi dealer markup + another 5-10K for "Market value" (see: another way to screw over the consumer for more money). And the saddest part is that people will line up and gladly pay the extra cost.

And yes, I do consider car dealerships at the same level as drug dealers and the people that distribute kiddie porn.

Great price for what you get. Definitely the best bang for the buck around, although I'll have to wait a few years until the used prices drop some.

Step 1 - sell house

Step 2 - don't tell wife house is sold

Step 3 - Buy new Z06 :drive:

Step 4 - Tell wife she looks GREAT in the passenger seat...

Step 5 - keep driving until wife asks to go home, then ask her where she would like "home" to be...

I think this will work.. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

I heard about a customer at work today that was going to ask his fiancee to postpone their wedding so he could get a new car he was dying to have. The awful thing is he was serious. Something tells me that relationship didn't last past that question. :leaving:

Depends on the girl, and the car. My wife wouldn't have minded something like that if it was for the right car, but then she's as much of a car nut as I am.

If she couldnt be mindfull of his needs, screw her. She wasnt worth marrying in the first place.
