I heard about it from my mom who saw it on the news. She called me to tell me about it... as she usually does with anything aviation related. The information I received was that it was caused by a wind shear... and that both the captain and first officer are alive, which afaik is quite rare in transport aircraft.
I hope for the best for all the passengers. But at the same time, it looks like Airbus' record as of late is becoming quickly tarnished. |

ah, latest from CC.com is that the plane got struck by lightning just after landing and lost all power (yay for Airbus electronics).
