They aren't great but you can make out the fender lip profile for fitting 335's. It's nothing drastic.

Sorry couldn't figure out how to link directly to the pics.click on #33,#36 on page 2

I've been thinking about doing something similar all the way around so I can end up w/ 335s in the back also but clear the 315s up front at a lower ride height. I had to raise my car back up for the 315s up front and while I ended up w/ no rubbing issues I'd like to get the advantage of a lower CG and it flat out looks better lower. Here's how it sits now:

Looks great Lonnie! I like the fender flare look. I'm fixing to do something like that to fit 16x12's. Did you do anything to open up the front fenders/wheel wells? What did you use to flare the rear fenders?

I still have 11" wheels with 315's in front. I'm waiting for Kumho to come out with a 335 18 tire that isn't taller than the current 315 17's.

FWIW I won't do anything to the front except 'maybe' up the front spring rate

Is that a cone flying in the second pic? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That looks *AWESOME*. What did you use to flare the rear fender?

Yep that was a cone. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
It was a two day event, and I went home after Sat because I hit at least two cones on every run.

I used a BFH to flare the fenders. I havn't finished the paint/bodywork because I've been thinking about a complete re-paint

Nice-your car looks serious. Guess I should save up for some real race wheels. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I figure I'll keep my black vette wheels so people don't take me seriously-not like they'd have a reason to take me seriously anyways.

BTW, that red/pink CP Firebird usually runs at our local events. I haven't gotten a chance to talk to the owner though. But I drool looking at it.

I sent you a PM about your driver's seat.

Good work with the BFH. It looks great, at least from this distance. I'm wondering how a Harbor Freight Porta Power unit would work to do that. They're on sale right now. Maybe heat up the paint with a hot air gun first so it doesn't crack.

Lonnie, I assume those are 17x12 wheels. What offset are they?

Not sure of the offset (I guess I could figure it out (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) but they are a 7.5" backspace.

If CCW could build them, you could go with a backspace of about 7-11/16" which is probably the absolute max inboard you would want to put the wheel. For flexy flier slicks I'd stick with a 7.5" backspace, maybe even a 7.25"

Yeah they are 17x12's.
Just need Kumho come out with the tire I want, and buy 2 18x12's. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

Thanks, yeah I said "offset" but backspace is what I meant. I'm planning to go with Real wheels rather than CCW, they are cheaper and lighter. Only problem is they only build wheels on one inch increments. I've got to give them a call and see if the will make me some on 7.5" backspacing anyway.
