If they are factory 10 spoke SS wheels, they are 9.0 inches wide, not 9.5.

My mistake, I had remembered them as being 9.5".

They should be a 9.5" wide rim.. Tire size is 275/45-17...

Ive always known them to be 17x9.5.. Just like my 5-spoke SS/ZR-1 rims..

Well, I know for a fact that the stock WS-6 wheels were 17x9. Definitely not 9.5. If the factory SS wheels were comparable, then they'd be 9.

He's right, the stock 10 spoke SS rims are 17x9. I have 2 sets of them right now and a set of C4 17x9.5's (the C4's are 9.5, the 10 spokes are only 9").

Either way, they work well for autocross, not perfect but very well (I'm running the 10 spokes as we speak for autocross events).

You would think SLP would be smart enought to put a 275 on a at least a 9.5" wheel, wouldn't ya? NOT! Would be nice if they had chosen a 10 inch wheel for the 275's actually, since they designed a new wheel for the SS's and Firehawk's anyway. This is one reason trackbird now owns my SS wheels! Yup, he also owns my SS wheels (though I never had an SS ).

Ya gotta keep in mind that the "performance" wheels are most definitely NOT chosen for performance. 17x9 rims give you the "look", but they ride a little softer than 17x10 would, and are less vulnerable to curb damage. They are not invulnerable, obviously - how often do you see ads for "4 wheels in great shape, only 1000 miles, only have curb damage on 3 of them" on some of the bling and polish sites? However, they will provide some protection from lightly brushing a curb (at least with some tires), car wash guide rails, etc.
