Was over at Bobby Archer Motorsports, trying on seats and seeing which ones I liked and Bobby came out and started talking to me about the seats and what his shop had to offer retail wise. The conversation turned to plumbing after a bit and he gave me a catalogue from Goodridge. Said they carried a complete inventory and that they were fazing out Earls as the goodridge stuff was higher quality and that it was used in F1, rally etc. There's a large array of really odd adapters and some nice looking tubing. Anybody know of this company? The good or bad?

As far as I could find, Goodridge was the only company that offered an adaptor to go from the metric flare output of the master cylinder to 3/16" double flare, the tubing I used on my brake system.

Goodridge manufacturered the KVR braided brakelines that I installed. The quality was excellent, with clear tubing over the braid sealed at the ends to keep out the grit that can ruin ordinary braided lines.

I have had them on the M3 for 2 years or so. Good quality as far as I can tell. I have (unfortunately and unintentionally) had a caliper hang by them a couple of times, and they don't seem worse for the wear.

The Goodridge lines I bought for the 3rd gen Camaro were too long on the front.
The line to caliper bolts supplied for the rear are shorter than stock. One of the front lines failed (tire rub) and Bobby fixed it with Earl's parts... They also connect directly to the stock hard line front and rear, instead of connecting to the fitting that the hard line goes into. |
