I'm thinking of sending in my application for this
http://www.lscbmwcca.org/motorsports/Motor...orsportHome.htm
Any other F-bodies to attend?
I haven't been to Motorsports Ranch yet, so it should be loads of fun

I have run this event since they began it in 2000, I believe. It was my maiden voyage onto a road course and MikeP-99Z was my instructor.

The BMW club puts on a great event. Very well organized and a very safe show.

I might not get a chance to run it this year due to a work schedule conflict. But I do believe that 98_1LE and mongoosez will be there.

I won't get to run in this year either, but definitely a great event to attend.

Very well run and not to mention....it sure is fun beating up on all those bimmers. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I have been to every one they have had at MSR, and this will be no different. If nothing else I have to get the T-shirt.

Here is a little rundown of how it goes.
Saturday morning, no one even looks at your car, or you. By Saturday afternoon, a few stragglers from your run group start stopping by to ask "what all have you done to that thing?", and a nice conversation follows.
By Sunday afternoon more folks are asking questions, and trying to understand how this live axle, cheap, pushrod dinosaur is passing them.
There will be at least one car go off in front of you right after they check their mirrors and realize you are still on there ass 2/3 the way through the 3-turn complex on the back side.

And don't let Mitch fool ya, I am betting he pulls in a few favors and gets that weekend off.

My favorite quote that first weekend was ...

M5 owner: "Must be nice to have twice the horsepower."

Me: "Sure is and at 1/2 the cost."

Wasting by some expensive German cars with a mere F-body... priceless (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
