I saw this post earlier tonight and I thought of something. I bought my car back in June of 2002, and was completely new to the hobby. Everything that I've learned about working on it was a combination of researching online and doing my own trial and error. Luckily I had advice from a few very competent people along the way. But some guys, like the one who made that post, aren't so lucky.

There are plenty of books available for things on engine building, chassis tuning, and other modifications. But I haven't seen anything that caters specifically to guys who buy pony cars and don't know anything about them, but still want to work on them. Given the countless "how do I pick a cold air intake" posts, I think that there are plenty of guys out there that could benefit from a guide like this. Do you guys think that there would be a market for this type of book?

I'm an English major with specialization in professional writing and rhetoric, so I'm very familiar with the process of research, collaboration, and thorough editing that is part of writing technical books. I'm also well aware that getting published is a long and difficult process if you are a new name in the field. But I'm still curious if this is a project worth investigating.

my brother would buy that... he's likes to read things out of books, he trusts the information in books more than the internet...

i feel like i can tell the difference between the BS and good information pretty easliy on the internet... so i wouldn't buy one... if i didn't know how to use the internet, i would buy one
