Congrats! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) That's the coolest part about that magazine. Every month I either read about someone I know personally, or someone I know about, or someone I've seen at autocross events, etc. Last month I got to read about me! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I had the black S10 in the "your rides" section on the very last page. I sold it to buy the Camaro. It showed up in GRM two weeks later. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) |

Randy, I don't see many cars from the West in there much this year, but in years past they were very much out here taking pix. I've been in there twice!

If you're not seeing cars from your area in GRM, then get someone to do an article. GRM relies a lot on freelance work for everything from technical articles to event coverage. In the latest issue, I have an article (actually it was two separate articles they combined to make one) about the Virginia Commonwealth Games autocross and the Nashville SEDiv. Joel Fehrman's STi (with Tommy Pulliam driving) and Brian Flanagan's BMW are pictured with the article (pics I took). So, see if you can round up someone with at least a little bit of writing skill and get them to send in event coverage. Or, talk to them about why they should do a technical article on your car. Oh, and congrats to those who've been in the mag. I've had my name in print, but not my car pictured. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Karen |

Seeing us pictured in GRM is very cool. Even more than all Camaro's on the podium. :drive: I got the black scuff on the front during that race, I believe. Some Mustang's fought each other in front of us and spun going into the turn pictured on the next page. Hallett's a great track. I'm ready to go back. We're finishing up the season next weekend at Motorsport Ranch. If Glenn and I do well, we'll have two rookies, and Camaro's, in the top three for the season. It's just I already have enough magazines coming....... Congrats to all those who made it in there! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
