I bought a pair of seats used and I don't need the second one. It's a black Sparco Evo fiberglass race seat, fits me well (160 lbs, 5' 9", 32-34" waist) and would probably fit someone heavier if they are taller with a similar waist.
Pics can be seen here http://www.wam.umd.edu/~pknowles/Sparcoseats/ I'm asking $300 for the seat and $50 for the new sliders and used seat brackets (sliders and bracket not shown, in the pic a custom Corvette bracket is bolted to the seat) to go from the sliders to the seat. Would like to sell local, but would be willing to ship, just give me some time to find a box big enough (seats are big to ship). I'm at 20882. |

BTW the spots in pic #10 are spots on my camera lens not spots on the seat. The seat is perfect other then two small marks on the back.

Phil,
If I can find a local one to "test fit" my butt in and it fits, I'd be interested. How did the seat effect the head room in your car? I need to at least maintain or increase the head room. |

I was able to make a seat bracket that puts the race seat a little bit lower then the stock seat. With my stock power seat, my helmet would just touch the T-top, but now with the race seat I have a little room. I'm taking my race seat out and putting the stock seat back in for the winter after this weekend, so I could snap some pics of the bracket I made too. I took the time to figure out how to get the seat low while still using the sliders. If your the only one driving your car then you don't need the sliders and could easily get the seat lower; it's the sliders that raise the whole thing up.

Phil, I haven't been able to find the exact same seat anywhere in town. Maybe you can help me decide if I'll fit. I'm 6'-3" with about a 36" waist and about 210 pounds. What do you think? How tight is the seat on you?

How tight is the seat on you? Truth be told I think an Evo 2 is probably what you want, it's a little bigger. It really depends on what you like, some guys like tight fitting seats that really hold them in and an Evo would be tight on a 36" waist. I would say before you buy any seat sit in a bunch of them, not just one. I first sat in an Evo 2 and I thought it fit great, then I got to sit in an Evo and I liked the tighter feel in the sholders. I drove about an hour and a half south to go to a store that had them all set-up to sit in. It was worth the trip. Don't impalse buy a seat, if you don't like it you are stuck with it. More then anything else you buy for the car, take your time and make sure you like a particular seat before you buy MHO. I looked at seats for about 4 monthes before I bought FWIW. I'll say this as well I like the Sparco's a lot better then the Corbeau's. |

I appreciate the advice. Maybe I will find I like the EVO best and you will still have yours to sell.
Thanks. |
