looking for a canton/morroso deep oil pan, 52mm throttle body, and 1.6 rockers.
i was looking into the rockers on ebay, they look like they would do just fine, the look just like summit brand rockers. i don't see how crane or comp is looking for 350 bucks for rockers when jegs and summit are selling house brand for less than half. are they the same, do comp/crane do something different to theirs that make them better? |

Just my $0.02, since no one has chimed in yet......
On something as critical as rocker arms, I'd be darn sure who make them before I'd buy a "house" brand. Not that there is anything wrong with them, just I'd hate for you to buy and install them and they not be the quality needed. (lots of little pieces to fall into the engine if you destroy a RR) They could be a knock off of a Comp / Crane / Harlan Sharp design, but with not the same attention to quality. Obviously, you can still have problems with a name brand - but hopefully they would stand behind their product. On the flip side, I think that Jeg's was selling Canfield heads as a "Jegs" item. It's entirely possible that the Summit rockers are a name brand as well. I'd just be sure before I ordered. I have the Comp S/S rockers, and I'm more than happy with them. I was willing to pay a few extra $ for the known commodity. |
