Howdy,

I'm going to need a set of cheap street tires for 17x9.5" wheels... Anyone got anything laying around they want to be rid of? Any recommendations on a particular size/model?

The car won't be used for winter driving. I don't care about performance, with the exception that there should be good resistance to hydroplanning. I want something that will cost $0 and last forever.

:-)

Any recommendations?

Mark

If you wind up buying new, try the Fuzion ZRi's from tire rack (use the link in the sponsors bar if you don't mind). I'm running them now and they were about $111 each when i bought mine. I get 20+ (maybe 30k) out of them and they are cheap (and made by Bridgestone with their UNI-T spiral wrapped carcass, etc). They are decent, inexpensive tires.

Why yes I do! I have a pair of 275/40-17 Michelin Pilot Sports in all-season tread with a good bit of rubber left. Also a pair of Goodyear GS 275/40-17's with a little rubber left. The Goodyear's are your's for the shipping cost; the Michelin's are yours for shipping plus $25 a tire.
