They also, according to Jon, make the roll center move uniformly with the car which is another good thing. The LG's, while nice units, are $379 before shipping.

The LG's could of course be adjusted to match the GW camber curve (or maybe even improve on it).

Doh! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I must've been tired. To be fair I bet the LG upper control arm rod ends would last a long time since that area sees considerably less load than the lower control arms.

Did you do the Moog Problem Solver balljoints? That's the ones I'm using. I had to open the holes in the metal "trim ring" to get the bolts through (I didn't modify the arms, just the rings).

Do you remember if the ball joints were tapped for the grease zerks? I have a hole in each one but they are bare, untapped. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (Moog problemsolvers)

I've used the Moog's, both upper and lower, and did not tap threads. I believe the supplied zerks are self tappers.

Thanks Alan. That's weird my Moog lower balljoints (installed last year) came tapped.

Edit: At least I thought they were tapped it's been a while.

My Moog PS lowers were already tapped. I sure wouldn't want to try to tap the threads after the ball has already been swaged in and at least partially pregreased - you'll never get all the shavings out.

I suspect you got a defective set. I'd exchange them.

My Moog lowers were also tapped. Well Alan was right the uppers were fine. The supplied zerks tapped themselves in nicely with a 1/4" ratchet.

Kinda funny how the uppers aren't tapped but the lowers are tapped. I suspect it's because the lowers are common to multiple GM cars and the upper are F-body specific IIRC.

Well the del-a-lum bushings are nice, but much of the benefit is lost since the uppers were a tad bit too wide for the upper mount so there is added friction there. Still there is less friction than my lubed poly bushings had.

That's exactly the problem I had with one of mine (the other fit pretty well). Didn't seem to have any impact on the car though.

I think you probably want a tiny bit of end loading on those bushings just so the alignment settings are stable.
