a couple of you may not want to revisit this

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=409382

my brain really hurts sometimes reading this stuff. Especially in a handling and braking section. Yes, that thread is full of slotted rotors to release the gas from pads comments, and the classic
QUOTE
drive backwards and apply the brake and do that a few times and see if that helps

I'm not knocking the site in general, it's helpful for many things, but still........

Think that's bad? Step into the "General Discussion" forum of any BMW board. Alot of people with nice cars, no common sense, and too much money...

All hail FRRAX.com (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

Same here (on both counts). Some days I still try (like that one). But most of the time, I just stay home (here at frrax). (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'd pretty well stopped going there too. Amazing how fast things have degenerated and how little has been learned depite the efforts from several frrax people in the past.

It gets uglier every year the fbody isn't replaced as the LS1's get more and more affordable to the teens and the plain moronic. The pool of intelligent, reasoned owners gets smaller every day.

That is the reason why I came over here (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif) . You guys offer real knowledge without the sorting of junk.

-I remember driving backwards (to set the parking brake for old drum brakes (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) )

-I remember telling my brother at Monster Mile not to just hold the brakes or they will fade (sure enough he came back telling me he held the brakes to the floor from 125mph until they faded away and that was what cause my warped rotors (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) )

Anyone remember the chromed rotor thread (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) .

In the spirit of the season ... spreading good cheer and all, here are a few of my favorites ....

And if are REALLY bored, Tom is referring to this novel ...

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=382624

those "drifters" ... they crack me up, sometimes ...

And the crazy thing about it is I know those guys ... used to autocross with them. The guy named McCall trying to sell his car in the classifieds section also knows them. They are really nice guys.

I think they take their sport and/or the internet way too serious, though ...

Those are all good ones! I still go to Tech mainly for engine related stuff....but you have so sift through so much garbage to find what you are looking for. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I like it here!
