Hey all,

I will be departing Saturday, Feb 4th with an empty 28' enclosed trailer to right north of LA ( Palmdale ). As before, if anyone has anything they need moved west between Dallas and LA on either the I10 or I40 route, please let me know.

I never thought I would be going out there once in a year , much less twice in the space of two weeks. I just can't resist those CA cars -- they are so clean and well kept.

Nice looking car Andy (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) Palmdale is so close(1.5hr west) but not close enough for a meeting (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If you held off on the pickup for a week, you could meet a few of us at the NASA event at Willowsprings. It's about 20/30mins from Palmdale, and kinda on the way to the I40 (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

John,

I wish (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . Fact of the matter is all this running around has really put me behind doing the stuff I do that actually shows a profit. We will drive straight through, reservations at a Lancaster motel Sunday night, p/u the car Monday AM and then right back to TX. About 26 hrs drive time each way.

Appreciate the invite!

Andy, are you by any chance staying at the Dessert Inn on Sunday? I don't know how it is on Sunday, but on Saturday's it is a cultural fooking event! Unfortunately we had a bad string of stays of late when it was hot and the A/C was on the fritz in the three rooms we got, but this time of year A/C doesn't matter, and Club D.I. is something to behold.

Just as a teaser, my best friend Joel, AKA Pit Bitch, wound up with an extra $200 in his pocket after dancing with the one eyed lady. Twice.

If I can find a clean T56 in your neck of the woods of Texas before the 4th (the day after my birthday), I'll be shooting you an email post haste.

Jason,

We are staying at the Comfort Inn- I got that stay 2 nights ; get one free thing going on. At that point, all we will want is a hot shower and clean sheets.

I just picked up a clean looking t56, bell housing, Spec Stage IV clutch, stock shifter, shifter handle, and shift knob, tailshaft housing, slave cylinder mount and flywheel in a private sale. Got a new set of pedals off of Ebay. All for a swap later this year into my ORR car.

Nice snag, Andy!

Rob,

I got a thing for the pre-81 Vettes. It is getting to the point they are either ragged bad or they are low mileage Barrett Jackson wannabees that I would be afraid to drive. This one is a '77 with 90k on the clock which means it is *very* driveable and often too. Receipts for recent alignment, exhaust system, tires, brakes, shocks, rear suspension. Worth the trip.
