Thought you were looking for a C5? Nice car....I just sat in one a few hours ago at the Philly Auto Show. Sat in a C6 Z06 too...nice car.

Good luck with it. Brembos, 20's?

...naw, this is the wife's car.....she finally tired of the piece o' crap Volvo XC90 we had for the last 2 years and we unloaded after the dealer gave us another list of things that needed fixing....

She was tired of SUV's, but that is what we were going for....I told her if we could get a car it would be a BIG one like the 300.....once there she fell for the SRT8....I couldn't believe my luck....

THE CAR IS A ROCKET! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I told her to be careful, because you "could" get into trouble with it if you were not careful/a good driver...

congrats... I'm considering the Charger SRT8.
Tells more about the driving/handling of it... I haven't test-driven one yet.

I have driven it a total of 8 miles so far....stayed so long at the dealer, that we got home barely in time for a scheduled dinner with friends.....but the driving I did do was varied.....suspension is TIGHT....turn in is CRISP and handling is borderline too stiff for the highway .... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ....Brembo's seem to haul down all 4300 lbs. pretty darn quick! The throttle is deceptive....it seems to be geared high....for gas mileage I suppose....but when you step on it...it has a ever so slight hesitation and WHHHOOOOOMPH....it goes....seems to be going VERY strong but not outrageous...I looked down at the speedo and we were at 100 and accellerating RAPIDLY.....didn't even THINK about full throttle either....

This car is gonna be fun to drive! :drive: (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) and I can STILL haul the family around in it!

Congrats Randy! Sounds like a blast. I love when people get new / new to them cars. I feel like I'm living vicariously. I was in San Jose yesterday and checked out my friend's Evo VII MR. I was like a kid, sitting in all the seats, pretending to drive, checking out wheels and brakes, etc...

...yeah...we haven't had an EXCITING/FUN car in a while...the family sized thing sorta killed that. THIS.....however should fill the bill....driving it is a blast...I could get a LOT of tickets in this thing... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) ...lots of things we have never had:

425 horses!
Car with the sports enthusiast in mind (Brembos, Sport Suspension, Engine, whole package...)
Navigation
Satellite Radio
Rear DVD for the kiddies....that can access the stereo (CD, Sat, Radio) and listen to whatever THEY want to on headphones
etc...

On top of that....the interior is luxurious...but with the SUPER supportive SRT8 seats....they are SWEET....I was of the opinion that Chrysler interiors were plastic, boring crap....they definately have addressed that with the newer cars.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

well time to go to Home Depot....again! :drive: (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

well, gotta give some respect to the hemi's. i don't really like chrystler but the jeep has turned me onto them. i like the srt-8 chargers (or anything srt-8 for that matter) and when i get 30k extra just lying around it's either that or a h-3.

.....that is the one we fell in love with....but it didn't have a rear DVD player for my daughter....all her friends have them, and she would kill us if SHE didn't get one (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ....and the other one was black....NONONONONO....don't have time to wash it all day long!

We got the Silver Steel Metalic.....kinda like a graphite color.....it is SWEET in the sun...very unique.....

he should be given an apology and congratulation for building something great for the car industry enthousiasts... something GM doesn't seem to be able to do, except for 1 car (Vette)
Thought Pontiac was supposed to be excitement... what do they have of excitement in their lineup.... ooooh... the new Solstice... yeah right ! Batman's Honda

Yeah, I emailed Mike after you reminded me and thanked him for helping build the motor in that car! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

He said he still drops in every few weeks but rarely posts....and mentioned he has been able to turn many "gear heads" onto Chrysler SRT products lately....I HAVE NOTICED Chrysler putting out performance/improved cars for a while....and I FINALLY got tired of waiting for GM to "respond" to the competition as they always do....years later......look at the "new" GM PT Cruiser....I mean HHR.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

They ARE coming out with a 300 SRT8 "copy" this year....the Caddy DTS-V....I drooled over THAT at the GM in Motion show....but that is basically the SAME CAR as the Chrysler 300 SRT8.....same HP/brakes/specs/etc....

...but $79,000 (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I will get some pics up this weekend
