I'm loaning a ten-twenty two to a friend who needs to get rid of a beaver (take the high road, guys). It's been too long since I tried Stingers (long non-standard case, short/light projectile, hollow point, high V), and I don't remember if they feed properly, but they are probably the most potent and accurate option. I also have some Mini Mag semi-flat points, but they might be a little iffy for feeding too. Of course I've got a ton of normal "high V" standard nose that I know will feed, but I'm picturing these critters as a ground hog with a custom tail (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) , and I don't think he's ready for the more potent hand held options.
I need to read this thread from work, so please keep it clean and a bit vague. Adult content isn't the only thing that can trip the censor/censure sensors. This post has been edited by sgarnett: Mar 2 2006, 04:53 PM |

Stingers work in standard stock tentwenty's as long as they aren't the T-model with the hbar. The chamber is too tight for stingers to be used in T-models or or some aftermarket "sticks."
Was that vague enough? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Exactly as Rob said, they worked great for me in my stock versions.
Or, look at velocitors from cci, they use a shorter case (a bit less oomph than stingers, but fairly close). |

Clear enough, and vague enough. Thanks.

And now that I'm not at work, there's actually a bunch of different categories that are considered to be "creating a hostile workplace". While images that some might consider <ahem> friendly top the hostility list, weapons are on the list too. I ran afoul of that one when trying to buy some cold blue (actually brown if I recall correctly) online. A coworker had his personal web page documenting construction of a model Sherman tank categorized as "violent/hate/racist".
Ah, the joys of modern life, especially in an era of perpetual downsizing when even the flimsiest excuse is (and has been) enough.. But at least, the Stingers should work. Other than the pre-ban mag and a scope base (but no scope), it's a garden variety base model. I also loaned him my Fieldmaster and suggested he use whichever he was most comfortable with, though I doubt he'll be fast enough to get a second chance with the Fieldmaster.
