I realize the title of this post sounds like an oxy-moron, but it's true.

My stock springs sat the car pretty low. 26-3/4 from ground to top of wheel arch in the front and 27-3/4 in the back. The backs sat down to 26-3/4 when my 100 lb speaker box was in the car. There was 5" from the ground to the plastic jacking pad behind each of the front wheels. I swapped them out for a different set of stock springs and it raised the car up to 28" all the way around (plenty of clearance for my Hooker LTs). I know these springs are stock becuase they had the original GM tags on them when I pulled them from the car. They are not rusted, and in general are in good shape. They do NOT appear to have been cut either. When I pulled them out of the car, I laid them next to the ones I now have in. The new ones were all at least 1" inch longer overall than the ones I pulled out of the car. If anyone is interested, I'm asking $30 plus shipping. |
