Thanks again Mark for coming out to help us this weekend. I guess you've learned not to listen to me when I say that you won't have to get dirty. I hadn't really predicted a transmission swap on the race car........ (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Mark volunteered to help out (lap times, tire temps, etc). He wound up helping us change a Tremec 5 speed, swap input shafts between the two and installing the new one. So much for just lap times. Then he helped belt in the driver, hooked up cool suits, safety wired brake rotors and all manor of fun stuff. And, he did a fantastic job of it all, even if he did get filthy dirty......

Mark, I'll let you know about Gingerman as soon as I know.

Thanks!!!!

Howdy,

:-) Hey, its all part of the gig. I'll note that my part of the tranny swap mostly entailed me asking Mike what to do next and then not getting anywhere near touching the input shaft swap into the new tranny... Tell Brion to get the right damn part on there _before_ its needed next time... :-)

It was fun. I'd definately be up for helping at Gingerman if it works schedule wise and someone other than me will cover gas/hotel.

I'll bring more spare clothes though. :-) And tell Brion I expect to see shocks with fluid on whatever car he brings... :-)

Shocks are over rated. And oil, who needs shock oil??????

As long as they have adjusters on them, it doesn't matter if they are empty. Does it?(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Howdy,

Pictures from the weekend... The car that Kevin and I helped with is the #19 orange Mach1.

If you're interested, the pictures are all with my Canon Digital Rebel XT w/100-300 f/4 Sigma zoom (sometimes with 1.4x extender, sometimes without).
