Howdy,

A friend in the pittsburgh area is looking for a set of pretty used 315's to check fitment & run at an event or two. He's registered here, but I guess can't post yet?

Anyway, if you've got something, you can PM him here:
http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/index.php?showuser=1387

"Scott Knight"

He's got a caprice with a conversion to manual tranny, and has 17x11 wheels on the way. Scott's a bit... Different. :-)

I fixed his account, he should be able to post. I've exchanged PM's or e-mails (forget which) with him.

I'll go check his account again.

Edit: Yup, his account is good, he's valid and should be able to post just fine. Ah, just caught that this is in the classifieds, he can't start a thread there until 35 posts. If he's a friend, I'll go fix his account (since you know him, I doubt we'll have any problems with him, that's what the rule is for). He can start threads here now. When any of you guys have a friend register, let me know. I have to "hand validate" all new accounts and that will make my life easier and speed things along for any friends who register. It's nice when someone can say "I know them, they'll be no problem", etc.

Heh, that's me. Thanks Mark and Kevin. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

As Mark said, I really only need an old set of tires to test the last couple of events on.

As for being different...well, the only time I really feel at home is on the racetrack, and I prefer a 2+ ton family car (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Thanks, Scott

Thanks Kevin. I make a habit of not causing trouble (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif) <-even when I do too much of that (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I have 4 v710s, 1 is good for a track day maybe 2, the other 3 I would say are only good for fitment or 1 session! Yours for shipping only!

And I have 2 hoosiers R04's with 13 sessions on them, $20ea+ shipping

And this guy that sales tires on the NASA forums all the time, sent me this email the other day for these.....

dmurphy@murphymotorsports.net

I currently have 2 315/35-17 Hoosier R6 Both in very
good cond. with about 80% tread left. $285 plus
shipping.

I'd suggest using Hoosier A6 or R6 for fitting. Once you get those camels through the needle, anything else should fit just fine (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Since actual dimensions for different tires are hard to come by, which way are they larger? Height, width or both?

BTW, I do have a set of Hoosier A's on the way (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks for all the help.

The Hoosiers have a rim guard, which effectively increases the backspace requirement. They are also seem to be wider at the shoulders.

Howdy,

Are A3S04's the same dimensional size as the A6's?

I was wondering the same thing. The problem I have is trying to figure out the A3S04's from their website. I think the tires I am getting are in this table:
https://www.hoosiertire.com/specrr.htm#SPOR...4%20&R3S04)

Section width is listed as 12.6" on an 11" wheel.

I measured your A3S04's (mounted on the same 11" wheels I just got) at almost exactly 12.5". I have to think the difference will be negligible.

NINJA EDIT 1: the information I failed to get was the width of Terry's V710's mounted on the same wheels (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

NINJA EDIT 2: yesterday's news (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
