There is 1 week left for early registration to race at the F1 Boston get together on Sunday, May 16th. We need at least 50 people to be signed up to rent the track for an hour. $35. will make sure you have a slot to race and will allow you to compete with other people from this event. We won't be renting the track if there aren't at least 50 slots taken by Monday, April 19th but you might be able to get behind the wheel of one of their carts if there are any openings that morning/early afternoon. I was told that one of the tracks has already been booked so that won't be available for the “arrive and drive”.

More information can be found at - www.tbyrnemotorsports.com/F1gettogether.html

This event is open to all late model Corvettes, f-bodys, GTOs and full size GM trucks.

T-shirts and gift certificates will be available plus there will be a DJ providing entertainment in the parking lot.

I wish I was in the area. F1 Boston sounds like a pretty neat place.

F1 is a lot of fun. I got my competition license over the winter and joined a league. Two of our events were on the combined tracks! It's given me a taste of the fun you RR guys are having (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The league wasn't cheap, but I suspect is was about the same as a weekend of RR track time.

For those not in the area and want to see what F1 is all about, check out F1 Boston.

I won't be able to make this get together. We have 2 autocrosses in May to which I've committed. It's hard enough for me to get out of work on the weekends.

Thanks for putting this together!

Maybe next time...
