I was cleaning up a donor car new to the shop, and there were a few quarters poking out from under the passenger seat mount, so I started tapping it with a hammer, and got a gusher. That doubler was packed full of coin - about $6. The plastic jar was from the rest of the car, all the coins on the pan were stuffed in the seat mount.

LOL ... when I was gutting my car, I found lots of coin as well and a funny looking piece of paper all rolled up. It appeared to have a greenish, leafy substance in it and was charred on one end.

Pass the Doritos, please ... I could go for some fries ....

When I replaced the power driver's seat in mine I found about $5 all that had slid into the carpet slit where the wires for the seat come through. I'm sure I didn't come anywhere close to getting it all either :-) . Camaro's are like banks.

When Alan lists this car for sale, it will be for $X993.18 since he already got the last few dollars out of the floor pan.(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

My first race car, RIP, was a '84 Z28 - got it as a salvage car from hubby's work. It had all kinds of interesting things stashed in the crevasses too! I just sold a leather seat pad that came with that car in my garage sale last month! Got $10 for it!

I just pulled the interior out of my car to prep it for the roll bar install and found a long lost eyeglasses case under the carpet -- oops! No money though.

I suppose if we're looking to shave weight, we might start looking for loose change. That stuff gets heavy!

I had a friend once who sold a '68 Chevelle, and on his way home from delivering it, found someone cussing at his dead '79 Honda CVCC. So Ken offered him $500 and bought the car. He plugged the ignition coil back in, drove it over to my place, and we cleaned it and waxed it. After tossing out the trash, we dug $12 in change out of the seats and ordered pizzas. A quickie vacuum and shampoo later, and the little car went home where Ken sold it to his neighbor for $1300.

Man, what a day!

Thats nothing (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) When I took the carpet out of my car to weld in a roll bar I found almost $70 worth of quarters. I guess the previous owner did alot of toll road driving.

After losing probably $20 in coins sliding out of my pockets and onto the floors of my various f-bodies, I just started emptying my pockets in the parking lot before getting in the cars.
