With all the F@$#%ing snow we've had here in Colorado recently I broke down and bought a 4X4 again. I mostly got into the internet car scene when I got the Camaro SS. I've had several Jeeps in the past, but I never really used the internet for info on them. Does anyone know of any good Jeep websites with good technical info like this site has for the F-Bodies? My previous Jeeps were older and simpler. The new one is an '03 Grand Cherokee Larado V8 with the Up County suspension and the Quadratrac II four wheel drive system. That's were my question is. How does Quadrtrac II differ from the Quadra Drive system?
Anyway, links to good tech sites for newer Jeeps would much appreciated. Thanks, |

I found this site after I bought my wife's Liberty.... http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/
It's a good place to learn of any common problems, recalls, etc. |

www.jeepforum.com is pretty good. They have alot of info for most models, but it's not as great lately as they have the search limited temporarily. They have a Google search box at the bottom and it works so-so. Lots of good info to be found on there.
As for that specific question, I think they go into it a bit here: http://www.jeep.com/4x4/index.html you then have to click the "Get Ready" tab and select "See How Jeep 4x4 Systems Work". Note: If anyone would like to "See How Everything on a Jeep Almost Works", Trackbird can supply pictures (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) |

This site is heavily offroad-oriented, but I'm sure they've broken every part on a jeep and know how to fix it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My knowledge is about the older Jeeps like CJs - used to belong to a club that went on the Rubicon on a regular basis. One thing about Chrysler is that they have their Jeep folks up there too on a regular basis and have done an admirable job with their new products. I was impressed to see Dana 44s on their Wrangler series!!!
