... we all know what happened to Greg after he showed up. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) But it looks like AI's already taken every hardtop within a 500 mile radius. Diabolical! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I ended up buying everything I needed for the computer to build my own Tivo. I used an old 1.2 Ghz AMD Thunderbird with 512 MB ram and a 160 GB hard drive. I bought SageTV 6, a Hauppauge PVR-500, and use Nvidia Pure video decoder. Everything works great. It took me about 30 min to set-up and with a few tweaks it has been working perfectly for the last week. The only tweak I did was to use the Nvidia Pure video decoder instead of SageTv's, video would skip a little using SageTV's decoder because I don't have a DXVA compatible video card. If I had a video card that supported DXVA I might be able to get away with slower hardware but without that and using Nvidia Pure video decoder it looks great. Highly recommended.
