It is found on the rather large round flange looking thing that is a part of the pinion yoke.

Anyone know what they are for?

Obviously, they are intended to balance something, but what? The driveshaft?

I just got done doing my rear gears and just noticed them there. I wondered if they had something to do with the vibration I can't seem to get rid of.

You see, I'm fitting my rims on my car and I've found that I need less than 1/8 of an inch to get them to clear the calipers. Five good sized flat washers ( one for each lug) would easily give me the clearance I need. Is this a really bad idea, dangerous, whatever?

Set of 4. American Racing 2 piece. Nice light weight units at about 18 lbs. Rims are in good shape and cosmetically reasonable. 300 + shipping. Will consider any reasonable offer. Pics available on request.

Anyone done it?

What sort of spacer is needed?

This is an older style 16 x 10 Corvette rim, BTW

Is it just me, or do others find the seats in the Camaro horrible and painfull?

I recognize that the seats don't hold an occupant well when said occupant is engaged in vigorous driving, but heck I got in my car Sat and took a drive outbound for 1.5 hours and inbound for the same length of time. When I got in the car first thing my lower back was a bit sore. When I got home my back was a whole bunch sore. Today it is awful sore. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Are there others who have the same experience? Is there something about the design of these seats that causes back pain? Heck, I can drive my wife's Honda for hours without trouble, why? Do I need a new seat? What should I get? Or is it just my 47 year old back going to rat sh*&.
