The restrictor is upside down in the pic. When the TB opens, the top half leans in towards the intake. The throttle blade looks like it would fit nicely in the cut out.
I don't mean to come off harsh. but I don't think its a good design. If you cut an LSX intake open, you'll notice that they fill with air in a certain way, and with the hole where it is (towards the top) I could see some issues with the back to cylinders running leaner than they already do. It also seems like that air would become more turbulent once inside the intake. I feel a better design would have the hole centered and run a spacer. A restrictor is something that I have been seriously considering because on track, i feel that my new motor is going to exceed my driving capabilities.
Yes, the blade goes to WOT with 1/16" clearance the whole way. Your opinion is noted and the issue was considered. We have to consider many details when prototyping these and a spacer has far more drawbacks to it than the current design. The initial design was in fact a spacer with interchangable holes for tuning. It lost the vote mainly due to cost to the end user and potential to release set screws into the intake. Our developement is driven by demand so quite frankly, if there's demand, we'll hit the drawing board.
