Hey guys/gals. I am selling off a bunch of spare parts from the garage. What cheap ways do you all know that I could ship wheels/tires?
Blainefab
For mounted wheel/tires, strap them together in pairs, good sides facing towards each other, and bring them to Greyhound:

I almost always find that FedEx Ground is the cheapest of the to-your-door options.

UPS has worked fine for me.

I have found UPS and FEDX ground to be virtually interchangeable relative to ground service. FEDX still has the edge in Overnight, or 2 day. I avoid the USPS like the plague.

I like FEDX a little better because I can drop stuff at the local Kinkos real quick. They have excellent service. YMMV.

FedX seems (note the words seems, I have no scientific proof) to take better care of the packages, just my observations.

I'm a certified live animal shipper with UPS and they have done a great job with my geckos being shipped overnight. They have been on time about 99.9% of the time and I ship quite a bit with them, have since 2001. Great consistency. Locally FEDEX has a spotty record, has been improving lately. I find a lot of times damage comes from improper packaging vs. handling. You can drop UPS packages prepaid off at the UPS store, drop boxes or anywhere you can meet a driver. I meet them at their last local meeting place to ship overnight, if you ask the local drivers they can tell you where the last pickup is.

Howdy,

I like FedEx Ground. Prices have always been better on anything I've checked (for customer counter pricing... No clue what its like if you have an account) and Kinko's dropoff sites means I can ship something anytime I want.
