Ok, I'm trying to dig up events in March to get some testing time on the car. After digging around, I figured I'd ask the collective here at frrax, after all, we race and watch schedules, so someone might know of something off the top of their head. I'm trying not to tow 4 million hours/miles from Columbus, OH to get there (though it may be necessary). What's running this month in the surrounding area (track days, autocross, test n tunes, etc). I've been digging through websites and figured it was easier to just ask. I did find an event in Cinci, OH on March 16th, but I probably can't attend that one due to a previous comittment. Anything else? Post 'em and I'll see where I can go.

Tempting. I did parade laps at VIR and it's beautiful. It's a heck of a tow though.

And you absolutely rock for doing so. It was great to meet you guys and we'll have to do it again soon (and this time you're timing chain will not check out early).

If I hadn't just finshed up a divorce, I'd be a bit more flexible to make such a journey. Unfortunately, I have to be a bit more careful with my fun money budget these days (and the tow bills suck, it's not owning a truck that's the problem, it's feeding it...).

I was there last year. It's essentially a lapping day with the classroom sessions focused on the One Lap Event participants. I went last year as an instructor and am going to try to go again this year.

I feel your pain. This is the first year I have actually tried to employ some common sense when it comes to budgeting. From Columbus to Alton, VA looks to be about 450 miles. I have made the I77 run a bunch of times heading out to the mid west for AX. It is not too bad of a tow.

On April 5th and 6th, the Tarheel Sports Car Club is running the north course. A lot more laid back than a NASA event. If you decide to attend any of the NASA-MA events, drop me a note. I am sure we can find paddock space in the CMC/AI area. One nice thing about the NASA events, we are allowed to stay at the track. That saves a bunch of lodging money.

When I drove my car up to Mid Ohio to see Mitch and Glenn (and everyone else, Supermac, etc), one of the guys stuck an American Iron decal on my back glass (and not very straight). So, maybe nobody will notice that it's not quite ready to race (no cage). wink.gif

I feel your pain, I got a FRRAX stickers stuck on my car the last time I was in Mid Ohio. That place is notorious with the stickers. rant2.gif
