My dad needs a LH rear quarterpanel for the 1994 B4C that he's buying from me. The cheapest I've found so far is GM Parts Direct at $495. Is there anywhere else that you guys know of that has them for any less than that? I haven't been able to locate any aftermarket panels.

We had our Camaro at a body shop recently to fix a driver's rear quarter panel. The body shop guy said that getting the actual GM part would save him a few hours, as the aftermarket quarter panels were, in his words, "shit". Just passing along the info, not sure how valid it is. The guy has been in the business for ~25 years....

Good go know Jason, thanks for the tip. I've done some more searching and it looks like the GM quarter from GM parts direct is the way to go.

That's usually the stuff I hear, too. Especially for parts that have to get welded on. OTOH, that steel is usually a little lighter, so you can sometimes save some weight.

I ended up finding one locally at a salvage yard and having them cut the entire corner of the car off. I picked that up on Friday and then ended up meeting another F-body owner on Saturday that has a brand new GM quarterpanel. I'm going to buy the QP from that guy and have it installed on my car to save me the time and trouble of drilling out a lot of spotwelds to remove the other one from the rest of the sheetmetal that came with it. If anybody else needs a LR 4th gen camaro quarterpanel let me know, I have an extra one now LOL!
