Looking to sell a set of 16"x12" REAL Racing Rims.
These have 5x4.75" bolt pattern with 7 7/8" backspacing (as measured to edge of lip).
I picked these up for my car but have never even used them, I was told these are sized for 4th gen F-bodies. I had ideas of running CP w/ my CMC car.
I mounted one up today to see how they fit. See pictures above.
Note: I used a 1/2" spacer when mounting on the front. It appears to be about 3/16"-1/4" space between the lip edge and the spindle... with the 1/2" spacer. I slid a scrap of 3/16" stock between the wheel & spacer and it cleared.
At full lock the corners of the tires rub the fender liner, no suprise. It also appears the tie rod *may* rub the inside lip shoulder at full lock. You may be able to see the gouging on this inside lip, which was incurred prior to my ownership. I'm supposing from tie rod rub. I have a bump stop kit on so the rod end is beefier and dropped down an additional 3/4". close ups did not turn out well with my camera. Although it is ugly, I do not believe this compromises the strength/function of this wheel.
Wheels have totally dead 25.0x12.0x16 Hoosier R45s mounted. Also the bolts were loosened on one of the wheels (three piece) so one or all of the wheels may need to be disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled.
Wheel/tire combo felt about 2-5lbs lighter than my bald RA1 255/16 salad shooter combo.
tires can be dismounted & tossed before shipping

I'm looking for $450 plus shipping for the set.

Let me know. don't bother w/ a PM, email only.

Done.

If I had a fourth gen, I would be sending paypal to that address right now. But it looks like I'll need over 3" worth of spacer for a third gen.

Looks pretty cool.

Could you space out the "wide 5" part of the rim with some aluminum spacers?

I'm not sure how that would work. If I understand it correctly putting a spacer there would make it worse for a thirdgen.

thanks chad!

No, it would have the same effect as adding a wheel spacer. I'm talking about the 5 bolts that mount the wheel center to the outer ring.

It might be worth looking into, but I think a 12 is to much for the front of a 3rd gen sad.gif You'd have a huge scrub radius and would probably have to cut the front and rear of the fenders. Maybe as the wheel mfg or look in some circle track catalogs to at least see if spacers are ok to use dunno.gif
