My '98 is kept outside, and the headlights have gotten quite hazy or cloudy. Anyone have a pair of non cloudy headlights from a race car build or otherwise they would part with reasonably?

I have the same problem. I think the front lens is detachable, but I haven't tried it.

So, I'll get in line behind Chuck in case he's overwhelmed with offers smile.gif

Have you tried to polish them? I use Meguiar's plastic polish and the mini powerball. Makes a significant improvement, but does have to be repeated.

Yowza - Rock Auto wants $151 per side for the "economy" model...and Auto Parts Warehouse ain't much better...http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?N=9891+1588+4294967264+9217

When you do find some go to www.xpel.com and buy the headlight protection kit from them. It only costs about $30, I believe. But its more than worth it... I've got them on my 02' at the moment and they are nice... cool2.gif

I've tried polishing a set on my 99' and never could get them to clear up. mad.gif

I got my headlight protection kit for my Jetta and my HD from www.lamin-x.com. They didn't have the Camaro kit though.

The mini powerball really helped with the polishing. I wasn't too aggressive with the compound though. Not sure if any or how much beam distortion would occur if I tried a real polishing compound.

I've heard of this (polishing plastic) so i tried it when I smudged my accusump gauge face. It was so bad you couldnt read the numbers. It worked perfectly, I'd certainly try it-

I have polished the lenses on at least 4 of the cars we own. I wet sand progressively from 600- 1500 grit and then use fine polishing compound followed by polish and wax. Brings them back to clear. Lasts at least 3 yearsbefore needing to be touched up.
