Yea, gas was down to $3.54 here, but went up (though oil dropped) and is floating back into the $3.50 range. It's a start. Only $2.00 more to go (aaaaaahahhahahahahhahahahahaha.....like we'll see that again).

ALL OF YOU SUCK!!!
Seems in the Bay Area we are the LAST to see prices drop....and when they do, they NEVER get to where you all talk about.....and the FIRST to see prices rise....and when they do, they are ALWAYS higher than any you complain about......
We are still in the high $4 range.....

Oil futures speculators suck. They drove the price up speculating increased consumption over the middle of the summer, but the reserves actually increased instead of decreased.
I filled up my truck up 2 weeks ago for $3.82/gallon. Drove right past all the stations in the nicer parts of town showing $4.09/gallon and filled up at a name brand station in the ghetto. I love ghetto gas.

That's an awesome name, actually. I'm going to start a whole chain of them... That could be my first radio commercial.

Here in Santa Cruz, Costco 87 was $4.15 yesterday. It's come down about $.50 in the last 2 weeks. My price hedge has been to put $30 in the tank every 3-4 days - when it starts heading up again I'll fill the 34g tank.

heh, I have absolutly no sympathy for california's high gas prices.. you voted that upon yourselves with that speciality boutique gas.
Its been said standardizing gasoline nationwide would drop prices by 30 cents...

We didn't vote on it. The "People's Republik of Kalifornia" decided they know better than the people do.

I was more refering to the government opening up offshore and alaskan drilling. If they do this, the mere threat of the additional supply will likely make prices plummet.
Or we could just tax the crap out of the oil companies and give everyone tax rebates to buy fuel with. Yeah, that will work. The oil companies would never think of raising prices to cover the additional tax, would they?

I hope something happens...
I've been in the boating industry for 10 years now, and we've been on a slow steady slide for 3 years now. This past year has been BAD. We just received word of two weeks shutdown this month, and most are at 4 days per week.
This will give me an oppurtunity to get some work related stuff done that I don't normally have time for, and one of those weeks I was off for my honeymoon anyways......But still........Most folks are quite nervous
BTW the other day we tested a boat that I put a Merc 525 in. N/A big block......That things consumes........................ready...................50 GPH.....On average. And the boat we put it in will actually use more than that by about 5-10% How many of those do you suppose we can sell?

I guessed I missed all those discussions....So I'm guessing that a gas truck saves BIG bucks over a diesel in both long and short term savings.......Any numbers Mark?
