Hey guys. I don't know how many of you have seen my posts trying to track down a strange cam problem, then found it was fine, then found that the car had destroyed all of the valve guide seals and several lifters.

Well, after tearing it all the way down to the shortblock, I got it back together and running tonight.

Here is a video of what it sounded like before and after.

Nothing changed, except the lifters, valve seals, and plugs.

Running like crap. I was subsequently passed by every single CMC car that was on the track at TWS. Not too cool when they make you put an AIX tag on the car because you don't have a dyno.

Sounds a little better. Hopefully, it will run better.

I wanted to thank all the Texas region CMC/AI guys for helping me instead of giving me the BS that I was so ripe for. I don't know how the car will run under race conditions yet, but it is clearly better. I am going to run it in a PCA DE this weekend at Harris Hill Road, just to sort things out.
