I installed a Permacool setup last year.
I have FLP longtubes, and left the stock oil cooler in place.
The hardware coming down from the adapter is close, <2" away from the tubes.
I tightened the adapter to give me the most clearance for the lines as I could get, and then installed heat insulation sleeves on the individual lines, and then a larger heat wrap over both lines to double it up.
So far so good. Lines are not getting any visible damage, but I will likely replace them after this year anyway just to be on the safe side.
Sorry, no pics available.

Yeah....I bought the Canton "swivel adaptor" the basically you take out the stock oil cooler adaptor and it screws on basically like an oil filter. It was expensive...$50 or so if I remember, but you can swivel the lines out of the way as much as possible. I also use protective fire sleeve on the lines running by the headers...no problems....I don't have pics, but I can take some if you need...

i also put the canton pan on,and with the summit set up you can move the hose's around.it just looked really close when i was holding the y pipe w/ cat dry.gif eye balling it.

now if i can just get it to start sad.gif , i could check for leak's
