I much prefer 70 & 71's, but that is pretty cool.

A good friend in high school had a 71 Torino GT with a 4-bbl Cleveland that ran good (second fastest at my high school). Looking back it probably needed valve springs, but he bent, and I helped replace, at least 2 or 3 pushrods.

I've found a couple 71s, both cobra jet cars. A 351CJ and a 428CJ.

The BB car was nice and over $20K. The windsor car was nice as well, but it was green with a light brown interior ... yuck.

428? Should be a 9. biggrin.gif
I realize it is one CI, but they are completely different gihougous chunks of cast iron.

After R&Ring the intake on a 390 Ford Truck, decided I hate FE's lol. That thing weighed about 100 pounds IIRC.

When are you going to look? I would like to tag along.

On a side note, how much can you tow with that thing? That is the kind of tow vehicle I could get behind.

You are right ... 428s were done in 69 weren't they.

Still gathering some info ... like where it is. dry.gif

Steve, Glenn and I will be at MSR-C Saturday morning for a 1/2 day TnT. If you could make it out, it would be a huge help. I'll buy you lunch.

Wish I could; already committed to playing with the BMW club at Mineral Wells Saturday.

FE Fords make everyone cry. I will never understand why they thought that giant intake and tiny heads was a good idea. The best use for a cast iron FE intake?

Boat anchor.

I'm having serious second thoughts, now.

The wife thought it looked great and was a good idea.
