Now that's the first 5th Gen that I would actually plunk down my hard earn cash for.

First of all isn't is SAD that you have to go to Sweden to find awesome examples of our outdated cars being run hard in a series????

Second, how is it the get the NEW CAMARO out racing before we do here in the states?????

And last, I thought those Camaro Cup cars were stock based cars.....kinda like ITE/AIX.....stock tub...and not THAT advanced....I think the swede I talked to years ago had a GM crate motor in his....Fastburn 383 I think.....

THAT THING IS A FULL ON TUBE FRAME GT-1 CAR!!!!!!!!!!

The Sweeds are crazy. Anyone still get Hot Rod Magazine? See the AWD Black 32 Ford? BAD ASS.

I know a guy that built is own dog ring Harley trans over there too. There's more examples.

meh.. tube frame car with a fiberglass body, carbed SBC and a rock crusher. Move on folks, not much to see here.

The stuff that did jump out at me:

Ultra low profile tires - is this technology shared with DTM or down under? I don't see any domestic series with zero sidewall.

Catalytic converter - get ready for ORV smog over here. Those 5" 100cell Euro cats are not cheap, and EPA/CARB is doing their best to drive the low end cat mfrs out of business.

Is that a 10bolt? On a real race car? I'd call it just for mock up if they hadn't widened it and built a 3rd link bracket for it. Now THAT is interesting.

I don't think those are the same cars. Take a look at the tire in this pic

Versus the tire pictured on this car

In fact, take a look at this pic - see how the brake calipers mount on the BACK of the spindle? Not that way on the 5th gen mockup pictured above

I think that middle picture is a rendering, not a photo.

I'm having a hard time telling what that axle is. If there was a shot of the cover I could tell for sure, but my best guess is an older 8.5 10 bolt, which isn't a bad choice IMO.

Speaking of which, why in the hell would you build your own spindles from scratch and have so much kingpin angle and offset built into them as well as anti-ackerman steering. Looks like in some of the pics they have some off the shelf wide-5 stuff in there instead.
