In case you don't want to watch ... he is doing new comedy bits, not for laughs, but to see how much money he can make NBC spend to cover the broadcast rights.

For instance, Wednesday night he had a Bugatti Veyron with mouse ears and whiskers on the set and a music bed of the original master recording of the Rolling Stones "Satisfaction".

Last night, he had the most recent Kentucky derby winning horse, dressed in a mink Snuggie watching restricted NFL Super Bowl footage.

I'm not a Conan fan, but this is crazy, funny stuff. And probably making the ratings go through the freaking roof!

Conan is ridiculously ludicris. I luv it.

I wish Jay wouldn't have left since I'm not a big Conan fan. Then again, the stuff he is doing with all that money is hilarious. How can he get away with this?

How can he get away with it? Easy...NBC is letting him. It's not live...they record the Tonight Show at like 3:00 p.m. and don't air it till 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time. If NBC didn't want him doing all this stuff they wouldn't air it. The money they're making with the ratings is more than enough to offset any fees or fines.

Abd they aren't buying a Bugatti and from what I've read, that wasn't actually the Derby winner.

The amount spent on bits was nothing compared to what they payed to send him packing. IMO Conan never was really funny, a lot of his stuff was pretty dumb. He was the wrong guy for the Tonight Show. Maybe he can find a different gig somewhere.
