i have a 96 formula with 13" street tires and there is alot of wheelhop, i really wanna buy the lakewood action lift bars. i just want to know if anyone uses them and if so how good are they.
I have been racing my trans am for years, and I can tell you a few things, but ultimately you need to get a bunch of things in order.
1) Get a Unbalanced Engineering Torque Arm
2) Check pinion angles
3) Get LCA's and LCA relocation brackets (with rod ends) don't mess with poly bushings
4) Get good shocks (front & rear) valved to your spring rates (adjustables are good, but still need to be valved to spring rates)
5) Check bushings - old ones will also contribute to them.
also call Alan Blaine of Blaine Fabrication, or Jason at Unbalanced Engineering. Between those 2 guru's I'm pretty sure you will have no more axle tramp/wheel hop again.
It worked for me :-)
