The paving is new, the lot is large by huge. Definitely a great venue.

Here's a link to the only video from my car that worked today. My new GoPro camera worked great, when I pushed the buttons properly.

Anyway here's a look at the course, but more importantly the lot.

I didn't leave until almost 3:30. I was parked pretty far out, because I trailered to the event. So I didn't want to take up excessive spots up close in the paddock. I walked by your cars, but I think you guys were already out on course working. Echo was driving first heat.

That lot is all you could hope for.

I've seen road courses smaller and tighter than that!! gr_eek2.gif (Whoever set that thing must NOT own a Miata or Civic!)

I have to get my sorry azz up there for one of those.

Actually, the guy that designed the course owns or co-drives (not sure which) a Lotus Elise. But I was talking with him and he kinda admitted that the size of the lot overwhelmed him and knows he can do so much more now that he's seen the lot first hand. If you have to pick and choose your spots to go autoxing, this lot is one to set some time aside for. Its worth the trip up there. In fact its so good, next time out I might run both the AM and the PM session. I'm already there and if the weather is good, why not?

I don't know how you guys do it. I would have been lost at the first turn!

When I first started autocrossing in the late '80s-early '90s, I used to BEG the course setters to outline the cones in chalk/lime/etc.

The first time I showed up at an event I looked out and all I saw was "a sea of cones"!! laugh.gif

They definitely could have used some more directional cones in a few spots, but it wasn't too hard to navigate. I lost some speed coming out of a few corners because I had to look around and see exactly where I was supposed to go, but I'm not too good at scanning ahead yet so it may have just been my fault. I think someone actually asked if they could add more though and they said that they had used up all their cones already haha.
