So Sam spent a solid 30 minutes on the phone with me at the end of last week helping me address a couple suspension settings, and brake hop. He asked if my car spins out when it gets bad brake hop, and I answered "No, only once....but not usually!" lol. He then explained that usuall bad brake hop sins cars out.

Sure enough, first session out, car gets some violent brake hop coming into the star mazda turn @ ButtonWillow Raceway. Thank god it didn;t happen somewhere like Infineon turn 11! I would have been toast. By the end of the day, I realized I personally was 60% responsible for brake hop coming on. I was just too quick to transition from WOT, to full brake. As I smoothed it out throughout the day the brakehop never really showed up much.

Ha, that didn't even phase your instructor at all! He's like "ehh, we're spinning, OK, no worries, damn, got some dirt on me".

I've had brake hope several times, but nothing that bad. At the worse, I'll miss my apex. And, like you said, it usually happens when I am too aggressive with jumping on the brakes.

Best part is that you got it on camera though!
