Lot's of stuff going on the car... so I need to get my ass off here and get started! I'll be updating later with more pics. Here's a couple for now.

Turns out I did get the wrong size endlinks for the front. I got the shortest they had available separately, which was 2-5/8". I haven't measured yet, but just from eye balling it looks like the front and rears are the same size, which looks to be about 2". When I get them off the car I will take accurate measurements. I'm just going to cut the excess off the spacer and add a spacer or washers to the threaded side to make up the difference. I can't get new endlinks now so that will have to do.

Also, where the hell is the bump stop in the front? I was looking around for it to see how much clearance I have, and I can't find the thing anywhere. I assumed they would be similar to the third gen style, but I guess not. My best guess is they are somewhere on the shock, but I can't see anything.

The bump stop is on the shock. You can't see it unless you can get the cover off the shock (under the spring).

Looks like Santa Clause is a little early.....

I ended up not getting as much done as I was hoping. Ran into some problems, including locking the keys in my gf's truck while I was out getting supplys. Doh! So far the new tires are mounted and balanced, the rotors and calipers are off the car, calipers are dissasembled and cleaned, and I'm about halfway done pulling the rear end. More pics in a few minutes...

The original plan was to have everything off the car, cleaned, and certain parts painted with POR-15 by tonight, then reassemble tomorrow. Looks like this is gonna last until Monday, but that's ok. I can take the Jeep you see in the pics to work and finish Monday night.

That paint just does not want to come off! Maybe I shouldn't have put on 5 coats of black and 2 coats of clear when I did those...

That's actually my girlfriend's parents garage. Yup, they do take offroading seriously! They have currently:

Yamaha Warrior 400
Yamaha YFZ450
Yahama Rapter 660
'87 Honda 250R with a 350 motor in it
2 Polaris Scramblers for guests who don't know how to ride (fully automatic, 4 wheel drive, and electric start).

Those are the quads. For trucks they have:

2003 Ford F150 - stock.
199ish Dodge 3/4 ton. V10, lifted, 35 in. tires, lockers, etc.
1993 Silverado 1500, 6 inch lift, 35 in. tires.
1990 Jeep Wrangler with a Chevy 350, Ford 8.8 rear end, lifted of course, 35 in. tires, and some other goodies. This one is a BLAST to take out in the dunes.

If you can't tell already..... the calipers, brakets, and rotors are getting a POR-15 treatment. This is primarely what has been setting me back. Stupid me didn't realize just how much prep is needed and how much time they need to dry between coats (4 hours). I figured I'd have all the prepping and painting done in 2 hours. Not even close. But it's ok. Almost everything is done except getting the parts painted and put back on the car, and then flushing the brake fluid. Will definetly be done tomorrow.

Looks like me a couple weeks ago right after I got my new car. Have fun w/ it.
